PLACES

NEW TOWNS, HISTORIC CITIES, GREAT PLACES

Great examples of New Urbanism (as well as old urbanism) can be found all over the world. These are well loved by everyone, and are some of the most visited places on earth. They are also great places to move to offering a high quality of life, and a number of them are highlighted here. Most of them share similar features which make them great: Dense, walkable urbanism; a diverse mixture of uses and people; appealing architecture; and a pedestrian dominated public realm.
